Yoga mats
Besides good yogawear another accessoire is very important: the yoga mat. Here we are not talking of a camping mat or a slipresistant rubber mat, but a real, for yoga appropriate yoga mat.Beginners often get offerred cheap and thin 'yoga mats'. In most cases they are too thin, have not sufficient damping and are made of plastics with questionable quality. If the yoga mat is too thin, the exercises cannot be done correct, simply as the floor hurts and is not comfortable. This is not good and hinders to enjoy yoga.
It is important to decice for the right material for the yoga mat. Avoid cheap yoga mats - most of them use health-hazardous softeners and are normally not environtment friendly in production and later on in disposal.

1. Our TPE yoga mat
TPE means: thermoplastic elastomer foam. This is a very good yoga mat for most sporty styles of yoga like Hot Yoga, Bikram Yoga, Iyengar or Hatha Yoga. This yogamat is slip resistant and easy to clean. We offer this yoga mat only in the thickness of min 6 mm, even it is available cheaper and thinner.

You can be sure, that our TPE yoga mats are free from PVC, softeners and forbidden dyestuffs. Our yoga mats contain no heavy metals, no lead, no mercury or cadmium or chromium.
Our TPE yoga mats are produced in an environmentally friendly way and can be easily recycled. A further hightlight is the fact, that the yoga mat is dyed with food dyestuff, means the yoga mat is toxic not harmful at all.
2. Our yoga mat made from sheep wool
The second type of yoga mats which we sell, and which we also use in our own yoga classes, is the yoga mat made from sheep wool. This yoga mat is a perfect match for the more spiritual yoga styles like Kundalini Yoga or Ashtanga Yoga.
The yoga mat made from sheep wool will not feel moist, even when you are sweating at the exercises, as sheep wool can absorb water up to a third of its dry weight. This yogamat has a nice warm handfeel and is very comfortable to the skin.
If you have once done some meditations or deep relaxations on a sheep wool yoga mat, you will not like to do this on plastic yoga mats again.
